DJORN - His Final Blessings
"They who have seen create prophecies. Those who’ve saw prophesize."
—Timaeus
By the dawn of the sun, the new age rises from the flames of the past. Unto this new world the light shall travel, illuminating day and vanquishing the endless ranks of the dark and the decaying. Death will know balance and the justice of this world will be overseen by those worthy enough to lead in the fight.
Armies will come and step forth with the powers of steel. All the gods, old and new will look upon the planet and grant man passage unto the new millennium. The powers of darkness, wherever they dwell, will fall to the instruments of man and gold will rule in the new age to come. From the battlefield the last of this world's daemons shall fall and a single king will be declared.
From the ashes of the Underworld this man will come, bearing the Crown of Aetheros, and lay waste to the modern world. From the blood of the wicked, lighting will strike down and break the seals of the old magic. The land will once again be reclaimed by the living and mankind will, again, know peace and victory for a time.
The fabled Atlantis will arise from the seas and once again bask in the light of the sun. Mankind will take the oceans and the land and the sea will be joined under the new king. The Phoenix King. Destined to rein for an endless age, his rule will bring riches, health and restoration to this land. And at the dawn of the new age the gods of old with join the gods of new and rejoice in the newfound light.
And the land will cheer with the establishment of power. All this and more will come to pass. The gods of old will reveal themselves and make their true presence known to this world. The gods in the Kingdom of Aetheros rule in their celestial paradise above the world of man. It is they who created light and handed fire down to us.
It is they, that from ages older than time, built the world as they saw fit and have defended it from the relentless darkness that comes rom places outside of time and known existence. To the Western continent stands the Kingdom of Thorazeth. A land built on war and the construction of armies and battle.
This rich land, and those who control it, are the second kingdom in command and one rank below Archarias. Thorazeth is the war-capital of this world and serves as the key creators weapons, armor and all things that aid in the fight against malicious intent. This warm and firm land is home to many hamlets and holds, within the walls of its greatest forts, artifacts of a warrior's pride.
These artifacts be The Crown of Throazeth, The Emblem of Thorazeth, The Crest of Grandor and The Goblet of Tor. These items, personally handed down by the gods, played large roles in the abolishment of the evil forces of old. It is believed they will, one day, aid us again. The last land of the world above Zetheros goes unnamed in all history books and shall never be titled until the final conflict is fought.
The Unnamed Land is a place of both good and evil. Where creatures of darkness and the armies of the sun fight in never-ending battles. Whomever claims this Southern continent takes power over the world, holding the capability to bring endless influence over the globe. Atlantis, City of the Sea lies to the South West.
This is the sunken kingdom with which the laws and histories of the elder times may once again find new light. It is the hope of all fractions to, once again, bring Atlantis back from beneath it's watery grave and restore the gleaming ruins to a well-established future. Arcadia, City of the Sky lies to the North West.
This world lives in the light of the sun and is inhabited by nobles and superior beings alike. Also known as The City of Spirits, this place is a utopia for the gods and a world where their rule can meet alongside those of the humans they had created. Avalon, City of the Soil lies to the North East. This Island of the Apple exists far beyond the golden shores of myth and is the paradise of immortals.
It is here peace will always remain. Evil cannot touch Avalon and the light is eternal from every angle and shore. The Unclaimed Realm lies to the South East. This land is a place of malevolent maelstroms and calm misty isles. This land, chaotic and still, exists in a place between Aetheros and Zetheros.
It is the unexplored realm of gods and elementals, sitting idol to the other world around in, in hiding from those who attempt to venture it's mysterious plane. Beyond Arcadia, in a parallel realm that boarders time and space, there is a world that exists above the City of the Sky. This World City is known as Arkhamdom.
The entire planet, enveloped by an endless ancient city, is the home of evils far too ancient for mortals to perceive. It is from the shadowy realm of blood and cosmic monstrosities that the founders of Arcadia had come, seeking the city in the sky as an escape from their doomed world. Arkhamdom's head capitol, Arkhamdore, sat as a vast palace and tower at the center of a series of cathedrals, churches, chapels, and joined kingdom walls that covered the entire planet.
This realm was small, but influential. It was in this world out of time that evil found ways of corrupting humans. The Immortals of Arkhamdore sought refuge from the darkness and fell into despair as creatures from beyond the stars came to take their world. The Halls of Arthur, The Gawain Dungeons, The Tombs of Lamorak and The Gareth Chapel were the last sanctuaries of the Arkhamdore Immortals who would eventually build a gate, leading them to the new world.
This new world, constructed on the opposing side of a universal gate, would be built in the skies above the new earth. To this day the Tower of Arkhamdore holds a connection to the Peak of Arcadia and threatens the return of the planet's evils. If the cosmic horror should ever break the gate and make it to the other side, Arcadia would surely fall.
Arthur was the first of the immortals. He ran the True Church and was the first to challenge Samot, the Grand Inquisitor, who sought to worship the cosmic entities invading Arkhamdom. Lancelot was the second of the immortals. He was the first paladin of Arthur's Order and lead numerous attacks, as a general, on the order of the Blood Hand, headed by Samot.
Gawain was the third of the immortals. He was the maker of swords. Gawain supplied blessed blades to his fellow paladins and even constructed the legendary Sword of Helena. Geraint was the forth of the immortals. He was the maker of guns. Geraint crafted hand-cannons and many innovative weapons to battle Samot and his disciples. Percival was the fifth of the immortals.
He was the second general of Arthur's Order and served under Lancelot in many glorious missions. Bors was the sixth of the immortals. He was the maker of ale and the crafter of elixirs which created immortality and healed the effects of the sickness which the Order of the Black Hand had spread across Arkhamdore.
Lamorak was the seventh of the immortals. He was trained in the mystical arts. Lamorak studied magic in all it's many forms and was often regarded, by Arthur, as the greatest sorcerer he had ever known. Kay was the eighth of the immortals. This was the only female paladin of their order and she served as a strategic brawler and archer in Arthur's forces.
Gareth was the ninth of the immortals. He was the third of Arthur's generals. Gareth constructed armor for the order. Bedivere was the tenth of the immortals. He was in charge of the dungeons and was the keeper of the keys to the tombs and catacombs beneath Arkhamdore. Gaheris was the eleventh of the immortals.
He was the second sorcerer of Arthur's Order. Gaheris was also a skilled fighter. Galahad was the twelfth of the immortals. He was the third sorcerer of Arthur's Order. Galahad was also a skilled fencer. Tristan was the thirteenth of the immortals. He was the lone alchemist of the paladins. It was with his knowledge and findings that the three sorcerers of Arthur's Order were able to aid him in the construction of the gate which brought them to Arcadia and leave Arkhamdom stranded in a parallel space.
These were the thirteen immortal builders of the bright utopia that would come to be known as the City of the Sky. And it was here, in Arcadia, where they came to be worshiped as gods. After the establishment of Arcadia, the original thirteen immortals fixed their ventures down unto the world beneath the sky city.
Here they traveled many distances, across vast oceans and sailed the waves of time until coming across The New Land. An island they called Avalon. These explorers: Aglovale, Agravain, Aqiff, Bagdemagus, Baudwin, Brastius, Breunor, Caradoc, Colgrevance, Constantine, Dagonet, Daniel, Ector, Elyan, Galehaut, Galeshin, Geraint, Gingalain, Leodegrance, Lionel, Maleagant, Morien, Pelleas, Sagramore, Safir, Segwarides, Tor, Ulfius, Uriens and Ywain assembled their divine ships, and with the blessings of the immortals, set out to discover new land.
With the discovery of Avalon, a safe haven was founded. A place were evil could never go. Though small, Avalon was an eternal haven for all those who could find it. It was an island older than gods. Older than time. The first spark of the first fire of life in a world spawned in the void. It was ultimate peace and tranquility.
And that was the legacy of Avalon, the Island of Apples. The thirteen immortal paladins of Arthur's Order chose not to retire to this paradise however, and it was in Arcadia they stayed to ensure evil could never break through to their world and take Arcadia as it had Arkhamdom. Upon the earth below, before the kingdoms of Archaria and Zanta'ar were founded, the world was a wasteland of sand and rock.
Atlantis was in it's infancy and gods had come forth from other dimensions. Long ago, in the first age and one of many beginnings, the world we know now was inhabited by the gods and titans from the forgotten lore of the ancients. It was in this time that the world, as we know it today, was once known by the lips of gods as Oreium.
And it was to this barren land that the gods and titans were born, to wreak their humanity across the globe. And wreak, they did. Titans gave birth to gods and their actions shaped the world throughout uncounted ages. This is their tale as depicted by the prophets of old.
It is on this day that I, Djorn, lawed by the kingdoms of Molestriah, Niboriah, the ancient lands of Anorddéantóir and Glaslasair, the will of the Bronze King and the blessings of Hygod, as well as her expanding territories, that I dedicate the remainder of my life to the celebration of the Knights of Arthur, the worship of the Gods of Aesir, the praise of Zeus and the will of my kingdom and its people until the end of all time.
It is with all that I have learned that I accept Avalon’s passage, and accept the duty of an immortal, to protect all good living things under the light of day. Need I only adapt the darkness when I may fight it, and may my soul never be tainted, for my essence is incorruptible. Hear me, all gods, all titans, all monsters, all living things.
These are the final mortal words of he whom you have come to know as the Phoenix King. Receive my willful law and practice it well, for on the blackest day I will be there, to eradicate all falsehoods.
